Managing Director - Sydney or Canberra

Role Description

As part of our continued growth and future planning, we are seeking to add a Managing Director in the short or medium term to facilitate the next phase of the company’s growth and prosperity. As Managing Director, you will be given an option to own 40% of the company and you will drive this next phase of growth.

As the Managing Director you will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations and ensuring that goals are met. This includes leading strategic planning, managing budgets, building and maintaining client relationships, and supervising staff members. You will operate predominately in the Defence sector, so very strong Defence experience at a high level is required.

In order to ensure we achieve the right fit for both parties, this role is not expected to be filled quickly.

Experience and Qualifications

• Significant experience in the Defence sector, likely suit an ex ADF officer of senior rank (eg CAPT/COL/GRPCAPT and above), or industry equivalent

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to drive business growth and achieve targets

• Experience in strategic planning and decision-making

• Ability to analyse market trends and identify business opportunities

• Financial acumen and ability in budget management

• Degree or other qualification in a relevant field (eg Engineering, Logistics or Management)

Remuneration

An attractive salary is of offer, with the exact amount depending on the specific candidate and what they bring. In addition to salary, the Managing Director will be given an option to own 40% of the company’s share capital.
